I agree with that but that wasn't hairy's point. In an ideal world id like as many players as possible to be home grown but the idea that any English player we sign can feel something that the foreign players can't is complete and utter horseshit.

I also took some pride in the number of our English players.
Unfortunately, due to laziness / social media / obesity, there aren't enough good English players these days.

Well in the 93 min sat I saw Kouyate sprinting down the wing chasing after a ball and it looked like he gave every ounce he had to end what he must of known was a massive day for us
Compared to the Bournemouth game where we had a fat lump of lard ENGLISH captain who strolled around for 45mins doing fuck all but give the ball away...........I'm not sure which one you prefer watching but I'm NOT choosing the lard ball if you hadn't guessed

I've always been a big admirer of Athletic Bilbao who have a policy of playing only players with a connection the the greater Basque country.
I would love it if at some time we had followed a similar policy. Too late now, sadly.
Roe - banging on about Berahino isn't going to change my opinion. The example of one daft Englishman hardly proves a point.
